Bentobox V2 - coming soon

Bentobox V2 is a permission-less token vault created by BoringCrypto that has only been utilised by a few protocols: none of them on Sonic.

Bentobox V1 is still currently in use by SushiSwap and was used by Abracadabra (as Degenbox) in the past as a method of managing high-yield V2 liquidity positions.

Bentobox V2 will act as the central liquidity vault for the entire H3RMES ecosystem, when specific liquidity and volume targets that would allow Bentobox V2 to function efficiently have been reached. Bentobox V2 brought many improvements over BentoBox V1, including gas optimisation and simplified token approvals. Anyone can build on top of BentoBox, and H3RMES treats BentoBox V2 as a neutral party with no special privileges or ownership.

The way Bentobox V2 works is by tracking each users deposits via an artificial balance of "shares", represented by NFTs, which is used to account for capital inside of it. This liquidity is then applied to a yield strategy. Strategies can be thought of as a map that lays out paths that assets can take while held in the vault to earn additional yield through other protocols; this requires significant liquidity and volume across several DeFi protocols. Assets held in Bentobox V2 can either have an empty strategy (assets which are held idly) or an active strategy which contains a specific singular methodology for an asset to earn additional yield. Within the H3RMES ecosystem, active strategies could be considered asset rehypothecation. In the future, individual asset (like S, or a partners DEX token for example), can have multiple affiliated BentoBox V2 assets which allows for different integrators to have their own BentoBox V2 vaults. NOTE: Bentobox V2 will be integrated as the H3RMES matures, as Bentobox V2 requires high volume, a large number of pools, and high liquidity conditions to be more consistently efficient than standard full-range LP.
